1.0 By entering the competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2.0 Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
3.0 The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
4.0 The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
5.0 The winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform which they used to enter the competition. The winner will be contacted within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
In addition to the above terms and conditions, the following clauses apply to specific competitions.

STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1. Terms and use
1.1 Yorkshire Yurts agrees to hire the equipment to the hirer for no longer than the period of hire as stated in the quotation.
1.2 The hirer agrees to hire the equipment for a function at the site only.
1.3 By paying the deposit the hirer is deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions.
2. Delivery & return
2.1 Yorkshire Yurts will deliver the equipment to the site at the beginning of the period and will collect the equipment at the end of the period. Times and dates are subject to change.
2.2 Yorkshire Yurts will erect the yurt or marquee at the beginning of the period and will dismantle the yurt or marquee at the end of the period.
2.3 Yorkshire Yurts must ensure that the equipment subject to hire is in good condition.
2.4 Yorkshire Yurts reserves the right to amend the ‘period’ of hire at any point and will make the hirer aware of any changes in set up or take down days as soon as possible.
2.5 The hirer may request that furniture is set up to a floorplan when the yurt or marquee is erected, this is subject to prior agreement at least one month before the event date. Any changes to an an agreed floorplan during set up may incur additional labour charges.
2.6 Delivery charges are subject to change depending on the amount of equipment being hired from Yorkshire Yurts. If the weight of the products being hired exceeds the legal weight limit, additional transport will be required and specified on the customer quote or on email.
2.7 The hirer agrees to be on site the day of delivery in order to show the team where the structures are to be placed and also to sign the delivery note to confirm everything has been received once the structures have been erected, as agreed on the order.
2.8 The site must have good access for up to a 12 tonne vehicle to be able to get within 20 metres of the site. Any problems with access must be discussed with Yorkshire Yurts at least 2 weeks in advance of the event or the hirer may be liable for costs associated with additional labour/delivery charges.
2.9 All tableware and decorations must be removed by the hirer the day/early morning before suppliers come to collect hired items, otherwise the hirer may be liable for costs associated with additional labour charges.
3.1 Although the Yorkshire Yurts will use its best endeavors to fulfill every contract, performance of the contract is subject to variation or cancellation by Yorkshire yurts in consequence of trade disputes, fire, breakdown, lack of equipment through non-return by other hirers or any other caused beyond the reasonable expectation of Yorkshire Yurts.
3.2 In the unlikely event of extreme weather conditions, Yorkshire Yurts reserves the right to cancel any contract where it considers the weather conditions might pose a risk to health and safety and/or property. Yorkshire Yurts shall not be held liable for any costs incurred by the cancellation and so event/wedding insurance in highly recommended. Yorkshire Yurts will advise the client on the safety aspects of extreme weather conditions before the hire commences. It is the client’s responsibility to adhere to the guidelines given and Yorkshire Yurts can take no responsibility for any negligent act by the client.
3.3 We endeavor to ensure all of our structures are as watertight as possible and they are all built to highest standards here in the UK. All of our structures are made from natural canvas and so in very rare cases condensation may occur in the colder months. As with all temporary structures, we cannot guarantee them to be 100% watertight in extreme weather conditions.
4. Hirer’s obligations
4.1 The hirer must check all of the equipment and satisfy himself as to the condition at the beginning of the period of hire and point out to Yorkshire Yurts any defects that are found with the equipment before the team leave site as we’re unable to guarantee we can return to site.
4.2 The hirer must ensure that the equipment is not used beyond its capacity. During the period of hire the hirer must ensure that the equipment is cared for and that it is kept safe and secure, Yorkshire Yurts recommends hiring security if safety of the site cannot be guaranteed. Theft of or damage to the equipment will be charged for.
4.3 The hirer accepts full responsibility for the equipment. In the event of any negligent act or deliberate damage performed by the hirer, Yorkshire Yurts reserves the right to claim additional monies beyond the depositary fund.
4.4 The hirer must ensure that precautions are taken to prevent damage to the equipment in terms of smoking and by means of mud and dirt to the canvas cover and spillages of red wine and soiling etc to the interior / furnishings and must understand that any damages or dry cleaning will have to be charged for. If hiring our Gin Bar any broken glasses will also be charged for.
4.5 It is the hirers responsibility to provide a grassed, firm, level and well drained site, which can easily hold pegs at least 4ft into the ground. Any grass should be arranged to be cut by the hirer at least 3 inches or less 1-2 days before the event. Any overhanging branches/trees must also be cut back by the hirer in advance of Yorkshire Yurts arriving on site, the hirer will be liable for costs associated with additional labour if not actioned before the Yorkshire Yurts team are on-site.
4.6 The hirer is to agree, in advance, where all structures are to be sited. If the site is not as specified above an/or should the site be not be deemed suitable at the discretion of Yorkshire Yurts, Yorkshire Yurts reserves the right to refuse to install equipment and the full deposit will be retained.
4.7 If the hirer has any doubt as to the suitability of a site they must discuss this with Yorkshire Yurts at the time of booking. Where necessary a site survey can be undertaken. Site surveys can incur additional charges to be discussed with Yorkshire Yurts.
4.8 The hirer shall indemnify Yorkshire Yurts against all and any actions, proceedings, costs and claims which may be made against Yorkshire Yurts as a result of the hirer tampering with the structures, including removing the side canvas or not adhering to the extreme weather guidelines as stipulated in clause 3.2.
4.9 The hirer is responsible for providing a suitable power source and cabling for any lighting, heating, band, caterers etc as needed at the event.
4.10 The hirer must have power on-site when the Yorkshire Yurts team are setting up so all lighting can be tested. If Yorkshire Yurts are unable to test lighting whilst on site Yorkshire Yurts cannot guarantee being able to return to site to fix any faults.
4.11 ‘Dandy Dura’ matting is provided as standard for all marquee structures and the 42ft and 50ft yurt unless otherwise stated on the quotation or order. The Dandy Dura matting is a woven polyproplene matting which is durable and weatherproof and laid on top of a ground sheet. Should the client request hard wooden flooring it is the hirers responsibility to inform Yorkshire Yurts in advance.
5.1 A deposit/damage waiver of 25% will be payable when the order is placed, this is 25% of the total sum and in addition to the total sum.
5.2 The total sum will be payable at least 1 month before the event or later to be agreed.
5.3 The company will hold the deposit/damage waiver and will refund the full amount after the end of the period, provided no damage has occurred and/or the items have not been cancelled, see clause 7.1 and 7.2
6.1 Confirmation will be sent to you in writing when your payment has been received.
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1 Prior to full payment – The full deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your booking prior to paying the final balance.
7.2 Following full payment – The full payment is non-refundable after it has been made, however the damage waiver will be fully refunded.
7.3 You are able to change any finishing touches up until three weeks before your event, if you cancel any items within 3 weeks of your event date there may be associated cancellation charges.
