“When we started planning our wedding we knew that we wanted a less traditional reception; Yorkshire Yurts provided us with a wonderful alternative. The two Yurts they provided were truly excellent, with fantastic lighting and a light, airy atmosphere. Their level of service was second to none, helping us with planning the layout and providing quick and efficient assembly and disassembly. We also has torrential rain in the evening of the wedding, but all the guests were comfortable and dry! We would highly recommend Yorkshire Yurts to anyone looking for something a bit different for their wedding. We really couldn’t fault the service at all!

“We just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Yorkshire Yurts who were involved in our wedding. The whole day was amazing and the Yurts were fantastic. We will certainly recommend your company in the future.”

We Love Autumn!

November 3, 2015

Whilst the weather forecast is predicting the worst snow in history (!) for winter, we’re enjoying the Autumn months of crunchy leaves underfoot, warm romantic fires and burnt orange sunsets.

As we enjoy these the Yorkshire Yurts team are working away on bringing wedding and event dreams to life. We’re noticing more couples than ever opting for more than one yurt, you knew our yurts connect together right? This is perfect if you want your event to have more than one area, a separate chill out zone to the dance floor for example. Our petal pole marquees can also be added into the mix, allowing for even more guests (300+), perfect for the night ‘do’. Take a look at possible combinations here.

If you’re stuck in the midst and minefields of wedding planning, our event coordinators will talk you through how your yurt or marquee can work for your event, how many tables and chairs you need, what lighting will work and all those other little finishing touches.

Even with the snow-warnings, we’re looking forward to Christmas and New Year’s Eve events and lots of people celebrating the festive season in our yurts. We can always bring the outdoors in with sheepskin rugs, a log burning stove and a stags head for your table plan, a dream winter wonderland! If you’ve not yet booked your Christmas/New Year’s party, get in touch! Enjoy the Autumn!

Autumn Events

September 1, 2015

We’ve said farewell to summer and enjoyed the last public holiday until Christmas, but we’re excited about the Autumn season and all the events which are heading our way throughout September and beyond!

With Autumn, comes even more beautiful weddings! Stark landscapes, piles of crunchy orange leaves, conker fights, the photography possibilities are endless. Don’t worry if it’s cold though, our log burners will heat up the entire yurt, keeping you and your guests warm and cosy.

As well as weddings, you may have your annual business conference this season. Why settle for the same old boring hotel conference room when you could turn heads, grab attention and do things a little differently this year. A conference in a yurt isn’t any old conference, it’s one to remember!

Of course Halloween will be here before we know it and if you’re planning on throwing a frightful party to celebrate and scare, you can’t go wrong with a yurt. Atmospheric lanterns, themed food, Thriller on the dancefloor, it’s what October 31st is made for!

There’s so many other events coming up this Autumn, too many to mention, but don’t forget to visit our open day on the weekend of October 3rd & 4th. Our 25ft yurt & petal pole marquee will be on display for all to see, the perfect opportunity to view before you book! Enjoy the new season!

Engagements, Weddings, Hangovers, Honeymoons

July 29, 2014

There really is a yurt from Yorkshire Yurts are every aspect for your wedding.

Starting off with the engagement party. Once your partner has said yes, there is nothing like getting friends & family together to celebrate in style. A 33ft yurt decorated with fairy lights and bunting offers a fantastic atmosphere to celebrate your announcement.

The main event, the big day, your wedding. Our yurts are all connectible so you can create the ultimate unique venue for your special day.  One for the ceremony, one for the reception, another for a chill out zone. Add a yurt bar into the mix and you’re guests will be talking about it for years!

We even have a special yurt for your first night as a married couple. Our yurts can also be hired for guest accommodation, perfect if you are hosting a festival wedding or something which is well and truly off the grid. That means no money to spend on taxis, more to spend on beer, which equals more hangovers in the morning.

If you fancy staying in the UK for your honeymoon, we have three Yurtshire sites (2 in Yorkshire, 1 in Warwickshire) which you can honeymoon in. Alternatively if you know of somewhere you want to honeymoon, we can perhaps pitch a yurt for you to call home for a week or two and relax together as you begin married life. We look forward to hearing from you.
