Full Time Event Support and Glamping Site Administrator

With 7 years in the event and glamping industries, Yorkshire Yurts is looking to expand its admin support at their gorgeous countryside location on the outskirts of Ripon. They are on the lookout for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer service focussed individual to join the small but rapidly growing team.

Yorkshire Yurts hires out yurts and marquees for external events such as weddings and private parties as well as running their own, internal events under the Yorkshire Yurts brand YurtBar. They also have a sister company, Yurtshire, which is a successful glamping business across several sites in North Yorkshire.

Reporting directly to the business owner, you will head up the office side of their successful glamping business, Yurtshire, as well as provide admin support when needed to the Yorkshire Yurts events team. Being a new position within the business, this varied role really is a great opportunity for the right individual to take ownership, with new ideas and creativity always being welcomed.

Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering all office phone calls and directing them to the relevant member of staff
- Providing general admin support to the events team as and when required for both internal and external events
- Drawing up floorplans in Illustrator (training will be given) and quotes for the events team
- Responding to all Yurtshire customer enquiries and some Yorkshire Yurts enquiries in person, via email and over the phone, making sure all bookings run smoothly
- Responsible for managing all Yurtshire bookings including managing the online booking system and taking bookings and payment over the phone where necessary
- Welcoming and checking in guests at our on-site glamping facility
- Communicating with the landowners and staff at our other glamping sites to ensure they’re running smoothly and being their main point of contact
- Vey occasional help cleaning and changing over the glamping yurts at the Ripon site if staff fall ill or are unable to come in
- Responsible for stock management of laundry and consumables, liaising with the on-site cleaner and placing orders where necessary
- Looking for new opportunities to improve processes and suppliers for Yurtshire
- Writing copy for promotional purposes and the company websites
- Keeping the Yurtshire listings up to date on third party websites and looking into new potential marketing opportunities
- Helping the team with other duties as and when required

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional customer service skills including dealing with difficult customers when necessary
- Friendly and approachable demeanour
- Confident and polite telephone manner
- Great communicator both internally and with clients
- A fast learner
- Show initiative and able to work under own steam
- Keen to get stuck in with the team when needed
- Event experience preferred but not essential
- Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience using a Mac computer preferred but not essential
- UK driving license

Hours

Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Occasionally you may also be required to work additional hours during events.

Pay

From £18k per annum, depending on experience
